Didier Grumbach

Didier Grumbach is a central figure in French fashion. Since 1998, he has been President of the Fédération française de la couture, du prêt-à-porter des couturiers et des créateurs de mode, the organization that preserves Paris' position as the world Capital of Fashion Design and sets the fall-winter and spring-summer show calendars for Haute Couture, and women's and men's ready to wear.
Didier Grumbach is a member of the board of the Association nationale pour la développement des arts de la mode (ANDAM),
which was set up in 1989 by the Ministry for Culture to promote young
designers. Since 1997, Didier Grumbach has been president of the Association Villa Noailles, location for the Festival de la Mode et de la Photographie in
Hyères. As part of this event, since 2001, the Rencontres
Internationales du textile et de la Mode takes place around May 1st
every year and the IFM is a regular participant.
Didier Grumbach is the author of Histoires de la Mode (Editions du Regard, 2008).
