Richard Odier
Finance applied to fashion
After graduating from Dauphine with an MSG in 1991 and a DESS in law and finance, Richard Odier worked for 8 years in a consulting firm, with which he set up a consultancy specializing in mergers & acquisitions. In 1998, he took over as CEO of a leading IT maintenance company, selling the business two years later. In 2000, through an LBO, he took part in the buyout of the Stanford distribution company (network of stores), becoming its Chairman. While remaining a shareholder and CEO, he sold Stanford in 2007 to investment funds and the Verywear retail group (sales of €150m and 180 outlets). He left the group in 2011 to take over the general management of the Sud Express brand until he sold his shares in December 2013. Since 2014, he has been relaunching his entrepreneurial activities, investing with venture capital funds and also as general manager of Maisons Daum & Haviland. Since 2019, through his structure, he has remained a director of several companies and also runs an NGO recognized as being of public utility, federating around a hundred associations operating in the fields of solidarity and culture. In parallel with his professional career, he is a regular speaker at business schools as an administrator and teacher of finance and entrepreneurship.
