MA students present their collections of accessories in motion
For the first time, students from the Master of Arts Accessory Design presented their accessory creations as part of Paris Fashion Week® thanks to a unique partnership with Tranoï. The event took place on Saturday, September 30, 2023, in partnership with the French Federations of Tannery, Footwear and Glovemaking.
14 designers from 7 countries will present their collections of accessories (bags, shoes, gloves
and jewels), the fruit of two years of advanced training in design, research and innovation, provided by the faculty and a series of guest experts, and punctuated by large-scale projects in collaboration with leading industry brands. For this presentation, accessories were highlighted, often wrongly perceived as static objects, in their relationship to the body, in movement and in the form of a performance imagined by Fabio Crestale and his dance company IFunamboli, to express their full artistic dimension.
This event was supported by Tranoï and the Fédérations Françaises de la Tannerie Mégisserie, de la Chaussure et de la Ganterie. It was partly financed by the ‘Taxe Fiscale Affectée’ collected by CTC.
The students also received generous support from the following tanners: Alran SAS, Arnal SAS, Bodin Joyeux, Rémy Carriat, Dani SPA, Hiriar, Pechdo, Raynaud Jeune, Rial 1957, Roux, Sovos Grosjean.
The first accessory in each collection was developed and produced by a sponsor:
◼ The Holding Moda group's GAB company for the bags presented in the opening of the collections by Sophie Bichelmeier, Emma Brodin, Anabela De Oliveira, Carmel Goldental, Anne Elori Lespade, Sei Young Alexa Oh, Célia Pezareix, Enrique Puente.
