2023 IFM-Kering Sustainability Certificate: 8 projects presented
On May 31st 2023, the 30 students of the IFM-Kering Fashion Sustainability Certificate presented 8 projects that contribute to the evolution of the fashion industry and on which they have been working since January. Carried out in groups, these projects are intended to propose a product or a solution that is part of a sustainable approach from an environmental, social or economic angle.
The aim of this program is to bring together students currently studying at IFM at Bachelor, Master or Executive MBA level, in either fashion management or fashion design.
The jury that evaluated them was composed of Marie-Claire Daveu, Chief Sustainability and Institutional Affairs Officer - Kering, Liz Ricketts, Founder - The Or Foundation, Aude Vergne, Global sustainability director - Chloé, Eric Dupont, Director of sustainable development supply chain and sourcing transformation - Chanel, Anouck Duranteau-Loeper, CEO - Isabel Marant, Romain Mouton, Président - Cercle de Giverny, Pascal Morand, Executive President - Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, Sophie Hersan, Co-Founder - Vestiaire Collective and Xavier Romatet, Dean - IFM.
The projects addressed one or several aspects of sustainable development: ecoresponsible product lines, craft and heritage, new business models, social impact, communication strategies, etc.
We maintain close collaboration with our contribution projects even after students graduate from our program. Among our former cohorts, 30% of our students secure jobs in CSR, not only through their contribution projects but also in renowned luxury brands. Some of our projects are still going on full time with our students and staff. To name a few, we can think of Association Reprise which was created 3 years ago. The association is recognized by the city of Antony and holds today a permanent contracts for Afghan refugees. Other projects like the one with Circle, leading sportswear sustainable company allowed one of our students to become a sustainable marketing manager. On the social side, Itinérance NGO continues to grow with one of our former students as their executive manager.
