New Foundation Year in Fashion Design
IFM is launching a brand new program for young creatives preparing to study fashion design: the Foundation Year in Fashion Design. Designed for creative minds, this program exposes the students to a wide range of artistic disciplines and allows them to develop their creative maturity under the guidance of IFM professors, professionals and artists.
Conceived as a laboratory teeming with ideas, culture, practice, exploration and research, the Foundation Year is a defining year, opening up vast perspectives to strengthen each student's personality and creative range, with a view to applying for Bachelors in fashion, art or design.
From the end of September to May, the course is made up of 4 modules of 5 weeks each, including:
- creative workshops (fashion, visual arts, image, photography, 3D, graphic design, etc.)
- theoretical courses (contextualisation and conceptualisation of the various creative disciplines)
- formal methodology courses (oral, written, visual)
- personal work and research
- Access to dedicated facilities and equipment, encouraging experimentation and the autonomous development of personal and research projects.
Students will benefit from individual support in order to help them build up a high-quality portfolio, essential for access to the most demanding art, design and fashion degrees.
The Foundation Year is aimed at students with a Baccalauréat or equivalent and a minimum B2 level in English.
