Partnership between Institut Français de la Mode and Bpifrance
Bpifrance and IFM join forces to support the emergence of young French creative brands.
Bpifrance and IFM have signed a partnership agreement to pool their expertise in favour of the emergence of young French creative brands. This cooperation aims to accompany creative brands and French companies holding the savoir-faires which sustain the fashion and luxury industry.
The emergence of new French businesses in fashion and luxury is a major economic issue in an industry which represents a major asset for the French economy and a formidable flagship for international outreach. Bpifrance and IFM have therefore decided to sign a partnership in order to put their respective areas of expertise in support of these creative businesses and accompany them according to their needs.
Bpifrance has been supporting French creative and cultural industries since 2005, through different funds. IFM offers several training programs for fashion businesses, including 'IFM Labels', an accelerator for young creative brands created in 2011.
Bpifrance will support the IFM Labels program for the selection of projects and the curriculum overview, and will share its expertise in terms of fundraising. IFM, for its part, will offer its experts interaction with the operational teams of the different funds (Fonds Mode et Finance 2, Fonds pour les Savoir-Faire d'Excellence...).
