The Institut Français de la Mode joins the heSam
The IFM has just joined the heSam (Hautes Etudes Sorbonne Arts et Métiers), Pôle de recherche et d'enseignement supérieur (PRES) that covers the human and social sciences (SHS), engineering sciences, public and private governance, design and heritage.
The PRES heSam is made up of prestigious universities and schools including the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM), the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), ESCP Europe, the ENA, the Institut National d'Histoire de l'Art (INHA) and the ENSCI (Ecole nationale supérieure de création industrielle).
This is one of Europe’s foremost research and teaching centres in the human and social sciences (SHS), linked to engineering and design, public and private management, and the sciences of art and creation. This project is part of the Paris Nouveaux Mondes pogramme an “Initiative d'Excellence (Idex)" programme that develops research projects on varied subjects and federates the existing doctoral structures in a doctoral college.
The IFM’s contribution will be in the areas of sociology, economics and management applied to the luxury, fashion and design sectors.
