The Bachelor of Arts opens Paris Fashion Week®
The Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design show opened Paris Fashion Week® on Tuesday 18 June 2024 on the IFM campus, showcasing the students' final-year collections. These collections,
each composed of 6 accessorized looks, were selected from the 70 final-year student collections by a jury of professionals based on their creative maturity, level of execution, proportions, volumes and coherence. They incorporate notions of sustainability, impact, inclusion, gender expression, and innovation.
Pushed to experiment throughout their training, students acquire the full range of creative and technical skills linked to the design, construction and pattern-making of a garment. Through courses
and experiential workshops, they are introduced to sustainable practices, 3D software, as well as humanities. From the 2nd year onwards, they can choose a specialization in knitwear, creative pattern-making, image, footwear or bags, expanding their creative scope while optimizing their employability.
This year, an exhibition entitled XXXTREME SHIRT was on display at the entrance to the campus, showcasing the latest project by first-year Bachelor of Arts students. The exhibition was produced in partnership with Supima and Albini 1876.
The Bachelor of Arts show is supported by DEFI, which Institut Français de la Mode thanks, as well as its main partners OBO, Titre Provisoire, Make Up For Ever Academy, Real Campus by L’Oréal, Launchmetrics, Chargeurs PCC, Manteco and Teintures de France.
