December 2017: results on the consumption of clothing & textiles
The final results for December 2017 show a decline in distributors' sales (-1.2% in value compared to December 2016). As a reminder, the December 2016 reference was up compared to December 2015 (+1.6%).
The results range from a 4.5% growth for E-Commerce/VAD to a 3.3% decrease for hypermarkets and supermarkets as well as for multi-brand independents.
At the end of December, the final balance sheet for 2017 shows an increase in value of 0.6% compared to 2016 (the last increase observed was in 2007, i.e. +2.2%).
