June 2017: results on the consumption of clothing & textiles
After the upturn in May, distributors' sales in June 2017 fell sharply by 8.8% in value compared with June 2016. The one-week delay in the start date of the sales compared to last year seems to have weighed on June's sales.
Indeed, June's results ranged from a 1.3% decline for E-Commerce / VAD to an 11.7% decline for department stores and popular stores.
At the end of June, the 2017 balance sheet now shows a decline in value: - 1.3% compared to the first half of last year.
