October 2017: results on the consumption of clothing & textiles
After an exceptional month of September, the final results for October 2017 show a sharp drop in distributors' sales (-13.4% in value compared to October 2016). It should be noted that the weather did not support sales last month (according to Météo France, temperatures were on average 1.4°C higher than normal).
All channels experienced a decline in revenue. The results ranged from a 3.4% decline in E-Commerce/VAD to a 22.4% decline in mainstream channels.
At the end of October, the results for 2017 now show a slight increase in value: +0.2% compared to the first ten months of last year.
